About Second Daughter

For more than a decade, Kate Marshall has served individuals and families in many stages of transition. From choosing the right next living situation, to facilitating all the aspects of that major life change, both the physical and emotional.

During Kate’s mother’s move from her home of 52 years in New York to a retirement community in Kansas, a friend commented, “I wish I had a second daughter”.  Since in fact, our goal is to help you and your family much as a daughter would, this name became our identity.

About The Founder

Kate was born and raised in New York City, attended The Brearley School and graduated from Vassar College. Her first major relocation took her to Monte Carlo, Monaco where she worked as branch office manager for Shearson American Express, fluent in French, Italian and Spanish.
Next up, Kansas City, Missouri. This is where Kate has lived and worked for the last three decades, enjoying the green and fertile heartland and raising three children. Her last corporate role was executive director of the Carondelet Health Foundations.
Drawing on her broad personal and professional experiences, Kate is particularly qualified to help you manage whatever challenging project lies in your path.
